Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

MapleGauge is designed so most calculator inputs stay in your browser and do not require an account. This policy explains information that may be processed when you visit the site.

Calculator inputs

Unless a page clearly says otherwise, calculator values are processed in your browser and are not intentionally stored in a user account. Do not enter account numbers, government identifiers or other sensitive personal information.

Analytics

If Google Analytics is configured, it is loaded only after you choose to allow analytics in our on-site preference prompt. Analytics may process technical information such as device/browser information, approximate location derived from IP address and pages visited. You can decline analytics and still use the calculators.

Advertising

We may use Google AdSense or other advertising providers. Advertising providers can use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers to serve, measure and limit ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. You can manage Google personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also read how Google uses data on partner sites.

Where applicable, advertising consent is collected through a consent management platform configured with our advertising provider. Availability and choices can vary by region.

Cookies and local storage

We may use browser local storage to remember choices such as whether you allowed analytics. Advertising and analytics providers may use their own cookies or storage when enabled or legally permitted.

External links

Some pages link to government agencies and other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Retention and security

We aim to minimize collection. Information processed by third-party analytics or advertising services is retained according to those services and our configured retention settings. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can decline optional analytics, use browser controls to clear cookies/local storage, use advertising-provider privacy controls and contact us about privacy questions at hello@maplegauge.ca.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site, applicable rules or service providers change. The current version will always be posted on this page.
